Amplify Austin

It’s that time of year again when Central Texans are given the opportunity to donate to their favorite charities over an exciting 24-hour period of giving that is hosted by the Amplify Austin I Live Here, I Give Here campaign. This amazing event attracts big corporate sponsors that allow for donations to be AMPLIFIED.  The Food Pantry is excited that all the donations given to the Pantry during this campaign St. David’s Foundation and Shield-Ayres will add additional funding. Also, Tito’s Vodka will also donate an additional $5 to your donation if you put #LoveTitos in the comment section of your check out page.

Bastrop County continues to grow by leaps and bounds, but lack of resources and food insecurity also continues to grow. The Bastrop County Emergency Food Pantry and Support Center strives to eliminate food insecurity and is proud of its history as a food support center that responds to its clients in food crisis with love and grace. The vulnerable populations served by the Pantry—youth, disabled and individuals with chronic illness, and the elderly—receive more than just nutritious food. They give out personal care items, emergency rental, and utility support and nutrition, one-on-one case management, and financial education. They provide specialized programs for seniors, individuals with disabilities, and children to ensure that the most vulnerable members of Bastrop County receive the care and support they need to thrive and take steps toward healthy change.

BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP!

  • Rural non-profits only receive 6% of foundation and 1.4% of corporate giving. (Newstead, 2009)
  • “Rural communities make up 63% of counties in the United States and 78% of counties with the highest rates of overall food insecurity” (Feeding America)

We would love for you to participate in this campaign. If you can’t give financially, we would love for you to share it without your friends and family so we can get as much support as possible. To give to our campaign go to our page: https://tinyurl.com/BFPAmplify
