The Food Pantry’s “Open Arms” program provides a supplemental supply of nutritious food and hygiene items to low income individuals and families who are disabled.
Brown Bag and Open Arms members enjoy additional supplemental food items throughout the month. BCEFP, in cooperation with area retailers, provides an assortment of fresh breads, baked goods, fruits, vegetables and meats on a first come, first serve basis between 9:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. every week on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays.
From the intersection of TX 95 and TX 21 E: proceed west on Chestnut Street (Loop 150) toward downtown Bastrop. At the first cross street after the railroad tracks (Haysel), turn left and proceed one block to the intersection of Haysel and Pine Streets. Turn left onto Pine Street and proceed to the next cross street, just before the railroad tracks (Fayette Street). Turn right to the Food Pantry office on your right, in the middle of the block.
From the west, exit HWY 71 from Austin: take the Loop 150 exit, proceed on the service road to the second light (Loop 150/Chestnut), turn left under HWY 71 onto Loop 150 (Chestnut) and proceed in a northeast direction, through old downtown Bastrop, to the last cross street before railroad tracks (Haysel). Turn right onto Haysel and proceed one block to the intersection of Haysel and Pine Streets. Turn left onto Pine Street and proceed to the next cross street, just before the railroad tracks (Fayette Street). Turn right to the Food Pantry office on your right, in the middle of the block.
