Sounds of Sharing 2016

Sounds of Sharing concert raised over $12,000 this year. Thank you!

Each fall—for three consecutive years—the Food Pantry has produced its Sounds of Sharing concert, showcasing the musical and instrumental talents of some of the counties’ singers and instrumental musicians—local talent as well as guests artists.

This concert occurs at the Jerry Fay Wilhelm Performing Arts Center in central Bastrop and has consistently drawn large crowds.   Music encompasses a virtual tour of America’s favorite musical genre—folk, gospel, rock, blues, blue grass, jazz, etc.—and hits the high notes for a rich and memorable auditory experience.

For the last two years—through the efforts of Bastrop native son and nationally acclaimed music producer and director Ron DeShay—the concert has also featured special performances by “American Idol” and “The Voice” artists.
