Katharine Gray

Emergency Food Program Manager

Katharine began working for the Food Pantry in August 2015 and serves as Emergency Food Program Manager.   Her long career in public service includes 32 years with the Social Security Administration, a career that included service as a Disability Examiner, a Program Bureau Chief and SSI Claims Representative and culminating in her service as Administrative Law Hearings Officer for the Social Security Administration’s Disability Program. Her commitment found voice as well in volunteer work with such organizations as Habitat for Humanity, Foundation Communities and the Area Agency on Aging.  After retirement, Katherine relocated to Bastrop to be closer to her son and grandson.
